Not a particularly subtle entry. Some things just have a natural sort of gravitas to them. Telling folks that in 2012 we brought in 30+ tons of Pinot Noir from Freedom Hill Vineyard has meaning to it.Freedom Hill Vineyard is on a very short list of vineyard sites in Oregon deservedly recognized for both their inherit excellence based upon location, soils, micro-climates, ownership and management as well as a record of accomplishment. It’s a great place to have a vineyard and there are a litany of killer wines that have come off of it. A little over a year ago we had a 1992 Panther Creek Freedom Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir and it was vibrant, youthful and still quite powerful. That’s a nearly 20 year-old Oregon Pinot and that says quite a lot about this site.
