This Dolcetto comes from the vineyard Schiena del Crottino in Rodello, belonging to the Agricultural farm owned by Mr Giribaldi. The soil is sufficiently thin, marl calcareous, positioned on a layer of rock which allows an ideal maturation of the grapes. The vineyard is 1,85 hectares and is composed exclusively from Dolcetto with Italian cloning material. The training system is Guyot, with around 5.000 vines per hectare, the age of the vine is 33 yearsIt is a wine with an intense ruby red colour, with violet reflexes. To the nose it is very vinous with violet sensations, and highlights of mature fruit such as cherries and blackberries.Full and structured in the mouth, an important wine which softly wraps the sweet notes of fruit like raspberry and bilberry. The low yield of the vine and the scrupolous attention during the wine process, characterize the Dolcetto with a concentration and softness of a noteworthy intensity.
