VINTAGENapa Valley showcased textbook weather for grape growing in 2013. The year started off with healthy winter rains which lead into a warm, dry spring, and brought an early bud break with ideal growing conditions. The extended heat spike in early July made summer temperatures consistently warm, allowing the grapes to mature steadily and develop complex flavors. Our fruit is balanced of acidity and sugar, good color and tannin structure, and optimal flavor development. Winemaker Sara Fowler describes the year as beautiful, balanced and delicious. TASTING: This Sauvignon Blanc jumps out of the glasspineapple, passion fruit, grapefruit and lychee are all very prominent on the nose. The palate offers more lush fruit and bright acidity with notes of creamy lemon tart, guava and apricot with a fresh, clean finish.
